Another reaction to Selim Temurci from Fatih Portakal! 'If Kılıçdaroğlu hadn't paved the way for you...'

Future Party Istanbul MP Selim Temurci, who entered Parliament on the Republican People's Party (CHP) list in the May 14 elections, made remarks supporting AKP's IMM candidate Murat Kurum regarding the March 31, 2024, local elections.

As a guest on the program "Different Perspectives with Kübra Par" on TV100, when asked "Who has a higher chance, Murat Kurum or Ekrem İmamoğlu?", Temurci replied, "I think a Kadir Topbaş-style approach would be better for Istanbul's problems. In this regard, I say Murat Kurum is ahead."

Temurci, who rejected his party's offer for the IMM candidacy, explained the reason for this by saying, "I rejected it so as not to come face-to-face with the AKP base."

Another reaction to Temurci's controversial statements came from journalist Fatih Portakal.

Presenting the main news bulletin on Sözcü TV, Portakal slammed Temurci.

Portakal used the following expressions;

"TEMURCI HAS AKP ROOTS"

"Selim Temurci has AKP roots. As far as I know, in the 2019 election that İmamoğlu won, Temurci was the AKP's provincial chairman in Istanbul. Later, they left with Ahmet Davutoğlu. Selim Temurci then started engaging in politics with the Future Party.

"HE ENTERED PARLIAMENT THANKS TO KILIÇDAROĞLU"

It was Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu who paved the way for him. He entered Parliament thanks to him. Now, in a television program he attended, he says, 'I don't want to be the person who causes Murat Kurum to lose. That's why I rejected the Future Party's Istanbul candidacy.'

"WHATEVER YOU ARE, DON'T BE HYPOCRITICAL"

And so we say: Whatever you are, don't be hypocritical! There is such a thing as loyalty and conscience. If Kılıçdaroğlu hadn't paved the way for you, none of you could have entered Parliament.

"SHAME ON YOU!"

Shame on your political stance. It was fine when you were entering Parliament, though. You entered there with the votes of CHP voters.

"YOU NEED A FACE TO FEEL SHAME"

A person should feel a little shame. But you need a face to feel shame. I don't know if he has one or not? You must have other calculations. You are preparing to give the green light to the AKP after April 1st."
