Another reaction to the Paris Olympics opening ceremony comes from Destici

Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici reacted to the events at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, stating, "We have seen once again that the Western-style lifestyle, which is held up as an example and imposed upon us at every opportunity, is attempting to build a society of 'immorality' and 'perversion'."

In a written statement, Destici remarked, "The Paris Olympics turned into a disgrace and a dimension of immorality with the opening ceremonies beginning with LGBT propaganda. We have seen once again that the Western-style lifestyle, which is held up as an example and imposed upon us at every opportunity, is attempting to build a society of 'immorality' and 'perversion'."

Claiming that these events are also an indicator of where those who advocate for taking Western civilization as a reference in every subject and under every condition in Turkey stand, and what kind of lifestyle and social order they imagine, Destici included the following in his statement: "We will never allow those who try to sanctify perversions with the lie of 'civilization' and make them dominant in our lands to pass."
