As the local elections approach, news of consecutive resignations is coming from the İYİ Party.

İYİ Party 27th term İzmir Deputy Aytun Çıray announced in a post on his X account that Cahit Kale, a member of the Honorary Board of the Federation of Caucasian Associations, has also resigned from the party.

In his post, Aytun Çıray, who resigned from the İYİ Party on June 6, stated, "Those who came together for the struggle for democracy are leaving one by one. My friend, Cahit Kale, a member of the Honorary Board of the Federation of Caucasian Associations, has also resigned from the İYİ Party."

'IT DID NOT ALIGN WITH MY POLITICAL UNDERSTANDING'

In his resignation letter, Kale stated, "Because the statements regarding the upcoming General Local Elections did not align with my political understanding, and due to my belief that the political stance taken by the Headquarters executives will harm the party, I am resigning of my own free will from my membership in the İYİ Party Ankara Province Çankaya District Presidency and all my duties within the party as of 13.11.2023."

İYİ Party GİK member Bahadır Erdem and former deputy Durmuş Yılmaz also announced last week that they had resigned from the party.
