Future Party Istanbul MP Doğan Demir has also resigned from his party. With the recent departures, the Future Party has largely lost its representation power in Parliament, while the number of independent MPs has risen to 14.

Resignations are coming one after another in the Future Party. Following Selim Temurci and İsa Mesih Şahin, Istanbul MP Doğan Demir also announced that he has left his party. Thus, the number of MPs who have left the Future Party in recent days has risen to three.
With Doğan Demir's resignation, the number of seats held by the Future Party in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has decreased significantly.
"WE ARE NOT JOINING ANOTHER PARTY, WE ARE IN AN EVALUATION PROCESS"
In his statement regarding his resignation, Selim Temurci stated that he had no intention of joining any party and used the following expressions:
"We are not resigning to join a party. We will be in discussions with our friends who are with us across Turkey."
İsa Mesih Şahin announced his resignation via social media, citing disagreements with the party leadership as the reason.
NUMBER OF INDEPENDENT MPS RISES TO 14
Following the latest resignations, the number of independent MPs in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has risen to 14. This situation is seen as reducing the influence of small parties in parliamentary arithmetic and is also interpreted as a sign of new quests within the opposition.
FUTURE AND DEVA ARE MELTING: NUMBERS ARE FALLING RAPIDLY
Following the 2023 elections, the distribution within the Saadet, Future, and DEVA alliance, which had 38 MPs in the TBMM, was 14 for DEVA, 10 for Future, and 14 for Saadet. However, with the incoming resignations, the number of MPs from the DEVA Party in Parliament has fallen to 9, and the Future Party's to only 4.
NEW PATH GROUP IS SHAKEN
The "New Path" group, established under the leadership of the Saadet Party and consisting of MPs from the Future and DEVA parties, was composed of 21 MPs.
