Businessman Göker Gözütok, who was a mayoral candidate nominee for the İYİ Party for the Talas district of Kayseri in the local elections, has announced that he has resigned from the İYİ Party.

Making a statement on his social media account, Gözütok used the following expressions:

"I am resigning from my İYİ Party membership. I will not put my own ego before the interests of the nation. I will not walk on a path I do not believe in. I will not pretend to be in opposition."
