Another resignation in the İYİ Party! 'Due to necessity...'

Mehmet Tosun, Deputy Chair of Local Governments for the İYİ Party, has announced his resignation from the party.

Mehmet Tosun, who served two terms as mayor of the Konacık town in Bodrum and subsequently ran as the mayoral candidate for Bodrum representing the MHP in the 2014 local elections and the İYİ Party in the 2019 local elections, has announced his resignation from the party.

Tosun, who was the 3rd-place parliamentary candidate for the İYİ Party in the 2023 general elections, announced his resignation on his social media account.

Stating that he resigned 'due to necessity,' Tosun used the following expressions:

"My esteemed colleagues. With the responsibility of having undertaken the duties of Bodrum Mayoral Candidate, Muğla Parliamentary Candidate, and Deputy Chair of Local Governments, I have tried to do my best for the rise and development of our party during the time I spent under the roof of the İYİ Party. During this process, I would like to thank my very valuable fellow citizens of Muğla and Bodrum, primarily, as well as İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener, our provincial and district chairs, our administrators, our members, our volunteers, and all citizens who voted for the İYİ Party for the support they have provided. Stating that I have resigned from all my duties in the İYİ Party and from my party membership due to necessity, I offer my respect and love."
