DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan has responded to claims that his party would form an alliance with the AKP. Speaking at his party's Istanbul Gaziosmanpaşa District Congress, Babacan stated, "There is no question of us taking a step back," and emphasized that the idea of forming an alliance with the AKP is completely baseless. Stressing that the AKP government shows no will to solve problems, Babacan said, "Today, we do not hear any statement from Mr. Tayyip or the party leadership indicating that they are aware of the problems. We also do not see any will to resolve these problems."

"THEY RESPOND TO OUR CRITICISM WITH TRICKS"

Babacan also reacted to accusations directed at them by some AKP figures. "We say it repeatedly, but they either do not understand or do not want to understand," Babacan said, noting that his statements and their political stance have been linked to a medical condition. Babacan mentioned that a newspaper used the headline "U-turn" and accused them of a condition defined by the medical term "paranoia." Babacan stated that medical experts characterize paranoia by states such as "suspicion and megalomania."

"OUR REASON FOR LEAVING THE AKP IS NOT PERSONAL"

Babacan reiterated that their departure from the AKP was not based on personal reasons, but that the main cause was the party's deviation from its founding principles and instances of lawlessness. Stating that the AKP has moved away from principles such as justice, development, and meritocracy, Babacan said, "Our departure from the AKP was not related to personal reasons. We left because its factory settings were corrupted over time." Babacan added, "Corruption was not fought, justice disappeared, and meritocracy was abandoned," expressing that the party does not demonstrate a will to solve problems.

"DEVA IS THE PARTY MOST READY TO GOVERN TURKEY"

Ali Babacan stated that the DEVA Party is the political party most ready to govern Turkey. Saying "I challenge you," Babacan indicated that his party aspires to govern the country, adding, "Speaking the truth sometimes leaves you alone, but remaining silent in the face of wrongs kills our conscience. We are the political party most ready to govern Turkey." Babacan emphasized that the country deserves the best and that, as the DEVA Party, they will continue to work to find solutions to the people's troubles.

"I WILL NOT LET THE RIGHTS OF DEVA VOTERS BE VIOLATED"

Criticizing the CHP's list system, Babacan also responded to criticisms that DEVA Party deputies were elected from the CHP list. Stating that he would not let the rights of DEVA voters be violated, Babacan said, "Our deputies were elected with their votes; I will not let this right be violated," expressing that the success of the deputies elected on the joint list with the CHP cannot be denied.

"WE WILL NEVER LOSE HOPE IN OUR COUNTRY"

Babacan stated that Turkey is greater than the ruling party and the main opposition party, saying, "Turkey is greater than the ruling party and the main opposition party; Turkey is greater than two." Stating that they will continue to work to listen to the country's troubles and revive the people's hope, Babacan used the expression, "We stood in the right place, we are standing there, and we will continue to stand there." Babacan stated that they will continue their work with determination for the future of Turkey.
