Another term for Maçoğlu from the SMF

The Socialist Assemblies Federation (SMF) has shared that Tunceli Mayor Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu will be nominated once again in the local elections.

In a declaration announcing the stance the Socialist Assemblies Federation (SMF) will take in the local elections, the decision regarding Maçoğlu was announced as follows:

"As an institution that is a product of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, we defend and base our organization on an understanding of ideological struggle against all kinds of bourgeois tendencies and bureaucratization, and the creation of a revolutionary culture in all our institutional mechanisms. In the context of politics, where we treat elections as a tactic, representation in parliamentary elections has been set for one term, and in local governments for two terms. Our comrade Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu has been carrying out our representation in local governments for two terms. While the comrade's two-term representation has come to an end in terms of understanding and advocacy, the impact our democratic, populist local government program has created among broad masses through Comrade Fatih, the propaganda of socialism, and the suggestions and demands of democratic, socialist forces have been taken into account by us with a sense of revolutionary responsibility, and it has been decided at the SMF Representative Assembly Meeting that our comrade Fatih will be nominated for one more term. Once it is clarified where our comrade will be nominated from, it will be shared with the democratic public."

This decision by the SMF has met the demands of democratic and socialist forces who wanted Maçoğlu to be nominated again in the local elections. Which province or district Maçoğlu will be nominated from will be announced later.
