Applications closed: 52 candidates to compete in Istanbul
With the application of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), the number of candidates for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor has reached 52.

Turkey has entered the local election atmosphere. Applications for the 2024 Local Elections ended as of today.
According to information received from the Istanbul Provincial Election Board, 21 political parties and 30 independent candidates had previously applied for candidacy for the Local Administration General Elections to be held on March 31.
THE RACE IN ISTANBUL WILL HEAT UP
With the DEM Party's application, the number of candidates has risen to 52. In the candidate submission record prepared by the Provincial Election Board, it was stated that İdil Uğurlu applied on behalf of the DEM Party today at 16:55.
In the aforementioned record, it was noted that the review regarding the application was completed at 17:14.
