Artificial intelligence claim in the İmamoğlu indictment!

The "political espionage" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been completed, and an indictment has been filed. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that a public lawsuit has been filed against CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, as well as Necati Özkan, Merdan Yanardağ, and Hüseyin Gün, as part of the investigation.

PUBLIC LAWSUIT FILED, PENALTY DEMAND DETERMINED

According to the statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a lawsuit has been filed against Ekrem İmamoğlu, his advisor and campaign director Necati Özkan, Hüseyin Gün—who is accused of espionage—and imprisoned TELE1 Editor-in-Chief Merdan Yanardağ on charges of "Political Espionage." A prison sentence of 15 to 20 years has been requested for the four individuals.

REFERENCE TO 2019 ELECTIONS IN THE INDICTMENT

The prepared indictment includes the allegation that Ekrem İmamoğlu engaged in "activities aimed at manipulating" the elections during the 2019 local election process. It is stated that the prosecutor's office listed these allegations under various findings headings.

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE INDICTMENT

A striking detail regarding the investigation file concerns the translations used in the indictment. According to reports by Yiğit Günay from Sol Haber, it was observed in the section titled "Finding 11" of the indictment that some translations were carried out via artificial intelligence.

It is stated that the text in the aforementioned section, where the artificial intelligence responded with the phrase "Of course, here is the translation of your notes in the image in the format you requested," was reflected verbatim in the indictment.
