Average of 10 polls in Istanbul taken: What is the point gap between Ekrem İmamoğlu and Murat Kurum?

As the local elections approach, public opinion research companies have accelerated their polling efforts. Istanbul is at the top of the list of cities where the outcome of the critical elections is most anticipated.

In Istanbul, where a multi-candidate election will take place, the race is expected to be between the CHP candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu and the AKP and MHP candidate Murat Kurum.

The IYI Party will enter the race with Buğra Kavuncu, the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi) with Birol Aydın, the DEM Party with Meral Danış Beştaş, the Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) with Azmi Karamahmutoğlu, the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) with Mehmet Altınöz, and the Homeland Party (Memleket Partisi) with Berk Hacıgüzeller, following their decision to run in the local elections 'freely and independently'.

With only days left until the elections, the account named MDRaporlar, which shares data analysis on social media, calculated the average of election polls conducted in Istanbul by 10 different public opinion research companies.

According to the February polls of ASAL, DİEN, HBS, MetroPOLL, Optimar, ORC, Özdemir, PİAR, SONAR and TÜSİAR, the scores of the candidates running in Istanbul have been determined.

The result of the average of the 10 polls is as follows;

• Incumbent IMM Mayor and CHP candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu: 40.9 percent
• People's Alliance candidate Murat Kurum: 40.3 percent
• DEM Party candidate Meral Danış Beştaş: 5.6 percent
• IYI Party candidate Buğra Kavuncu: 4.2 percent
• Victory Party candidate Azmi Karamahmutoğlu: 2.9 percent
• New Welfare Party candidate Mehmet Altınöz: 2.8 percent
• Homeland Party candidate Berk Hacıgüzeller: 1.3 percent
• Felicity Party candidate Birol Aydın: 0.9 percent of the votes.
