Ayşe Ateş calls on Minister of Justice regarding HSK decree

Ayşe Ateş, the wife of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş, who was murdered in the middle of the street in Ankara on December 30, 2022, wrote an open letter to Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç and Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya in her latest post. In her post, Ateş listed the developments regarding the Sinan Ateş murder.

Ayşe Ateş's post is as follows:

An open letter to our Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç and our Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya

Our Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç,

I had met with you recently in the presence of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In this meeting at the Presidential Complex, I conveyed my thoughts to you regarding the aspects of the indictment that I believe are incomplete. However, I later realized that I had not presented a very important issue to you. For this reason, although I did not deem it appropriate to request that you spare me time again in your busy schedule, I decided to write this open letter, which aims to refresh the memory of the public that has formed to date and to inform our citizens who have just become aware of this political murder.

As you are aware, on December 30, 2022, in the heart of Ankara, my husband Sinan Ateş, an honorable academic of this country, was martyred by hired killers. Thanks to the first prosecutors assigned to the file after the heinous murder, this political murder could not be covered up.

I say it could not be covered up because the developments that took place after this assassination, which was committed using a vile method, showed that there is a dark hand protecting all or some of the 22 individuals arrested in connection with this political murder and the 17 individuals whose investigations are ongoing, trying to cover it up by portraying this political murder as a common street fight.

I will try to list chronologically the developments that led me and our dear nation to this thought, some of which I have shared with you before under a different heading:

1-) Some of the individuals currently in custody were detained and released several times. During these days of release, some had their mobile phones broken, some changed their phones, and some caught an illness that caused them to lose their memory to the extent of forgetting their phone passwords. Thus, important sources of evidence for the resolution of this heinous murder disappeared. With your kind permission, I must state the following to enlighten our citizens who read this open letter: What I am saying is confirmed by the statements given by the perpetrators before the prosecutor's office and is included in the indictment.

2-) Allegations of being a "FETÖ" member were first made by certain circles against the prosecutors who were assigned to the file and ensured that the perpetrators were caught one by one and the evidence was revealed one by one, and subsequently, our valuable prosecutors were removed from their duties.

3-) Information such as the license plate and ownership of the black Audi brand vehicle with license plate 06 AT 5021, which was detected by PTS records in the file and followed step by step and is thought to have carried the hired killer Eray Özyağcı, did not even enter the indictment.

4-) Only three lines were allocated in the indictment to my statement, which lasted for pages, as the confidante, companion, and life partner of Sinan Ateş.

5) The statements of my husband Sinan Ateş's close friends, which contain important clues regarding the resolution of this political murder, could not find even a single line in the indictment.

6) The exclusion of the individuals who obtained information about my husband Sinan Ateş before he was killed and transferred it to a center, and the person representing that center to which the information was transferred, from this indictment revealed a picture that defies logic, as if individuals who did not know each other met on the road and decided to murder my husband Sinan Ateş. For the enlightenment of our citizens who have just become aware of this heinous murder, I must open a parenthesis here as well: The individuals whose files were separated are mentioned by name in the current indictment, and the correspondence between them is supported by an expert report.

My Ministers

There is no doubt that when all these items are turned into a Venn diagram, the intersection sets will emerge, and it will be clearly understood who or whom this dark hand is trying to protect and what truth it is trying to hide from the public.

As you are aware, many people and institutions claim that they are under suspicion due to this political murder, which has been on the country's agenda for a year and a half, and a picture that strains society in social, political, and conscientious terms emerges. It is my conviction that if you expose this dark hand, which is clearly protecting the killers, this political murder will be clarified in all its aspects. Thus, the guilty and the innocent regarding this political murder will be separated from each other, and the innocent will be saved from being under suspicion.

More importantly than all of this, this wound that bleeds the conscience of society will close, and our dear nation's faith in justice will find its spirit again.

THE PROSECUTOR WHO SOLVED THE MURDER BECAME A 'REGIONAL PROSECUTOR'

The HSK 2024 main decree for judicial and administrative judiciary was announced recently. The requests for change of duty for 4 thousand 9 judges and prosecutors from the judicial judiciary were decided.

In the HSK's judicial decree, Ankara Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Durdu Özer, who was removed from office while conducting the investigation into the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş, was appointed to the Ankara Regional Court of Justice Public Prosecutor's Office and became a 'regional prosecutor'.

Journalist Alican Uludağ had made the following post on his social media account recently regarding the removal incident:

"The backstage information turned out to be true. Deputy Chief Prosecutor Durdu Özer, who was removed from office for pursuing the Sinan Ateş murder, has now been removed from the Ankara Courthouse."

PROSECUTOR DURMUŞ ALİ KAYA, REMOVED FROM THE SINAN ATEŞ FILE, APPOINTED TO DIYARBAKIR

In another post made by Alican Uludağ, he provided the information that Durmuş Ali Kaya, another prosecutor who was removed from the file along with Deputy Chief Prosecutor Durdu Özer, who was removed from office for pursuing the Sinan Ateş murder, was appointed from Ankara to the Diyarbakır Çınar Prosecutor's Office.
