Ayşe Ateş's 'Father's Day' message: Either the apocalypse will break or...

Ayşe Ateş, who continues her struggle regarding the assassination of her husband Sinan Ateş, has posted a message on her social media account for Father's Day.

Ayşe Ateş, who has met with many political party leaders, including AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, following the murder of her husband, former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş, in an armed attack, stated on her social media account, "Either the apocalypse will break or justice will be served."

Ayşe Ateş added the note to her statement, "Let it not be forgotten that the state is the father of all fatherless children."

I am observing again and again, during this difficult period of struggle I am in, how realistic and accurate this determination and definition, made by Atatürk nearly a hundred years ago, truly is.

Dozens of sentences starting with "alone" are being formed about me. No! I am not alone. Behind me are the children of this country who have not lost their conscience or humanity, and who want justice back. Most importantly, there are its noble women.

Because whenever I get tired, whenever I fall into despair, whenever I am afraid, I feel the strong hand of our honorable women on my shoulder and I recover. Whenever I stumble, they say, "Do not collapse, do not be afraid, stand tall, Ayşe!" With the strength and confidence they give, I can walk into the darkness without fear and with determination. I know they are behind me, I know that the darkness fears them the most.

At this point, this search for justice, led by our women, has broken its own mold and turned into a symbolic struggle for everyone in this country who has been seeking justice. Even though their consciences are shattered, it has gained great moral value for those who cannot do anything about it, who cannot bring justice to the oppressed in Gaza, Urumqi, or anywhere else in the world.

In this search for justice, every woman of ours seeking justice has become a torch, and every man of ours a lantern. The darkness has nowhere left to run. We have no patience left to endure. Either the apocalypse will break or justice will be served.

Let it not be forgotten that the state is the father of all fatherless children. Today is both a holiday and Father's Day, and my children have no father whose hand they can kiss, to whom they can give a gift, or with whom they can celebrate the holiday.

On this occasion, I celebrate the blessed Eid al-Adha of our noble nation, and I pray to Almighty Allah that justice is served as soon as possible on this blessed day."
