Ayşe Ateş to Bahçeli: Look under your feet

Ayşe Ateş, the wife of former Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) President Sinan Ateş, who was murdered in Ankara, has responded to the statement by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli: ''Let's see if the legal process will end in Ankara or if it will reach Pennsylvania.''

REACTION TO THE INDICTMENT: A PIECE OF EMPTY PAPER

Making a statement via her social media account on X, Ayşe Ateş also criticized the indictment, saying, ''Your attempts to prevent the manifestation of justice by placing a piece of empty paper in front of us, and your moves to hide the real culprits from the public, are in vain.''

''Those who are conducting the operation are 1 km away from the Presidential Complex, right next to the AK Party Headquarters, as if challenging the state; they are the ones who did not blink an eye while killing an honorable academic of this country, a father of two daughters, who was minding his own business,'' Ateş said, including the following views in her statement:

'''An operation is being conducted against us,' it is said. 'Pennsylvania' is mentioned. If an operation is being conducted, those conducting it are the ones whose crimes have been proven with this and similar evidence. They are the ones who allocated institutional vehicles to murderers. They are the ones who sent messengers here and there saying 'we have broken his pen,' and who sent messages to each other. They are the ones who, with power derived from an unknown source, made special operations police officers drivers for drug dealers. Claiming that attempts are being made to prevent the manifestation of justice through the indictment, Ateş noted the following:

Because the prosecutor of this case is the great Turkish nation. This noble nation will not let go of your collar, it will not stop pursuing you. No matter where you flee, no matter which hole you hide in, it will find and pull you out, it will take and bring you back. The arrow has left the bow once. I would also like to add this: When I read some comments and look at some posts, I unfortunately see that a segment, despite all this evidence before their eyes, still cannot emerge from Plato's cave. Break free from your chains, do not sanctify the lie, embrace the truth. Make peace with the inevitable end.
