Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA) Chairman Ali Babacan made significant statements regarding the recent increase in drug use and operations targeting celebrities. Babacan expressed that he personally witnessed the sale of prohibited substances in front of schools in Ankara's Etimesgut district.

Babacan said, "In Ankara, in Etimesgut, I saw with my own eyes that substances were being sold in front of primary schools. This situation is unbelievable. Ask the local shopkeepers, they will tell you too. Yes, operations are being carried out, but we have not yet seen a serious change in the field."
