Kadir Kumbul, who continues to serve as the mayor of the Serik district in Antalya, had resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP) in recent days. Speculations regarding which party Kumbul would join were clarified today. Kumbul, who joined the AKP, received his party badge from the hands of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
It was reported that although the badge-pinning ceremony was planned to take place during the AKP Group Meeting, it was held behind closed doors due to the attack that occurred at a school in Şanlıurfa.
