Bahçeli does not deny, Dervişoğlu hits back hard: 'I expect a denial'

İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu has issued a statement on social media regarding the remarks allegedly made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli concerning the Vice Presidents of the Republic. Dervişoğlu stated that he expects a denial of Bahçeli's alleged words, which were reported as, "Let the President have two deputies, one Kurdish and the other Alevi."

Dervişoğlu stated, "I do not even want to believe in such a wish, and I expect it to be denied. Otherwise, this situation will be heavy for everyone to bear."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Journalist İsmail Saymaz wrote in his column that Bahçeli had used these expressions during a meeting with MHP members of parliament. According to Saymaz, it is alleged that Bahçeli made these remarks during a meeting held a few months ago.

There has been no denial from the MHP regarding these allegations so far.
