Bahçeli meets with families of martyrs and veterans: 'We will not let them bow their heads'

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli hosted Mustafa Işık, Chairman of the Turkey War Disabled Veterans, Martyrs' Widows and Orphans Association, and the association's executives at the party headquarters. During the meeting, the problems, expectations, and sensitivities experienced by the families of martyrs and veterans were brought to the agenda.
In a statement made on behalf of the delegation, Devlet Bahçeli's message of support for the families of martyrs and veterans was shared. Bahçeli stated, 'Our martyr families should not worry. Our veterans should not be afraid. We will not let them bow their heads.'
During the meeting, demands regarding the improvement of the rights of martyrs' families and veterans within state institutions as part of the counter-terrorism process were voiced. In particular, various issues such as the salaries of martyrs' families, the employment of all children of martyrs in the public sector, and the salaries and personal rights of veterans were conveyed to Bahçeli.
It was stated that positive developments for the families of martyrs and veterans are on the agenda within the scope of the legislative work continuing in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey's National Defense Commission. During the exchange of views, it was noted that Bahçeli gave his full support to the follow-up and improvement of these rights.
