Bahçeli reacts to those calling Hamas a 'terrorist organization': 'They are defending their people'

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made statements to the Türkgün newspaper.

Reacting to those who call Hamas a "terrorist organization," Bahçeli said, "In our view, they are defending their people."

In his statement to his party's publication, the Türkgün newspaper, Bahçeli said, "Viewing Hamas as a terrorist organization is wrong, malicious, and hypocritical. Evaluating Hamas from multiple perspectives is one thing, but labeling it a terrorist organization is another."

Bahçeli also reacted to the United States' relationship with terrorist organizations, primarily the PKK-PYD-YPG-FETÖ. Bahçeli stated, "It is a historical, legal, and democratic responsibility for this country to distance itself from terrorist organizations in the name of the honor of being an ally."

Bahçeli added, "In our view, Hamas is defending its people. Those looking for a terrorist organization should look at the separatist traitors to whom they hold hands and provide weapons and ammunition."
