Bahçeli's New Year message: 'Gave hope to Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood'

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who has been on the agenda with his calls regarding Öcalan, made the following assessment regarding the meeting held by the DEM Party with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı: "The meeting held between İmralı and DEM Party representatives on December 28, 2024, and the parts of this meeting that were reflected in the media in general terms, have not only relatively reinforced democracy and the hopes tied to Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood, but have also become the momentum for a promising beginning." Bahçeli expressed his thought that, "The transition from words to the action phase should take its turn, and ultimately, positive and concrete results should be staged and announced step by step without delay."

In his published message, Bahçeli used the following expressions: "The main framework of the new century must be woven with a new policy based on integration that excludes polarization and accepts embracing as the essential factor. Addressing chronic and ossified conflicts on the basis of agreed-upon national principles is now a necessity. While there are enough external enemies, and while the perpetrators of cruelty and humiliation who are lining up to plunder our treasure of internal peace and tranquility are in plain sight, producing hostile centers among us and within us will have no end, just as it has no result."

Bahçeli used the following expressions:

Grasping this inevitable truth with a conscious conscience and a depth of vision tied to objective principles will facilitate penetrating the crucial points of the issues and will provide our country and our nation with a comparative advantage. Turkey is a country too great to fit, and cannot be made to fit, into narrow molds, traps of tutelage, or shells of concession and surrender. The Republic of Turkey is the glory and honor of all Turkish citizens; it is the majesty of their independence and future.

"THE TURKISH NATION WILL NOT SEPARATE, WILL NOT DIVIDE"

The Turkish nation is a human summit where every one of our people, who have intertwined to the point of not being able to separate, divide, break away, or split, and who have at the same time turned the honor of belonging into a flag in the fortresses of their consciousness, have united as one body and given their lives.

No nonsense, no screeching, no poison-mixed opposition will be able to pull this summit down. Turkish history, Turkish culture, and the past Turkish centuries will leave a mark whose trace and will can never be erased on the coming century, through the power of the force of brotherhood and the strength of shared destiny that made the geography we live on a homeland.

"IT IS OUT OF THE QUESTION TO REWIND HISTORY"

In this context, everyone uniting within the content of national and spiritual values and joining hands will secure not only our present but also our future. It is out of the question to rewind history like a film strip.

However, it is inevitable to listen to the messages of history and geography filtering through from beyond the beyond, to gather under a future dome that supports this, and in short, to realize the vision of the Turkish and Turkey Century; this political and strategic rise will be achieved through joint effort.

The fractures finding a medium in neighboring countries, the hard confrontations that show no softening, the cold and hot conflicts that constantly gain distance, and the externally linked operations that begin one after another; when the geopolitical pendulum is taken into account along with the dimensions of common history, faith, and culture, they enter Turkey's field of interest from every angle.

"ASSAD LEAVING HIS COUNTRY IS THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA"

Especially the serial and dizzying developments in Syria as of November 27, 2024, became the dawn of a new era with the murderer Assad leaving his country on December 8. Syria's stability, peace, and peaceful political environment are in the common interest of Turkey and the countries of the region.

It is also clear that the ethnic and sectarian-based polarization rehearsed and constantly provoked in Syria promises enormous threats on behalf of our country and our region. The transitional government manifesting in Damascus establishing a temporary administration in the coming months, and treating every segment and everyone living in Syria as one and equal, will constitute the main dynamic of this country's recovery.

Showing a stance of being on alert and vigilant against the preparations of regional and global interest groups and countries with vandal ambitions following expansionist policies to drag Syria into civil war conditions is, of course, an absolute necessity.

It is our wish that democratic mechanisms be operated without delay within the framework of a determined calendar, that the remnants of the Ba'ath be completely erased, and that legitimacy problems be resolved by holding elections as soon as possible.

Syria's political and territorial integrity is a non-negotiable issue. The Unitary Syrian Republic will always be a friendly and brotherly country to the Republic of Turkey.

Political contacts and genuine dialogues to be established between the two countries will provide very strong support to regional peace and stability. Moreover, a joint action plan against terrorism and a common determination for resistance will strengthen and ensure the security of both countries and their mutually constructive and positive network of relations.

"IT IS A DREAM FOR THE PKK/YPG TERRORIST ORGANIZATION TO HOLD ON IN NORTHERN IRAQ, WEST OR EAST OF THE EUPHRATES"

In the new conditions, the transforming conjuncture, and the changing balance of power, it is a dream for the PKK/YPG terrorist organization to hold on in northern Iraq, or in the west or east of the Euphrates, against Turkey, which is a game-maker, and its liquidation is inevitable.

"WEAPONS WILL BE BURIED OR THOSE WHO HOLD WEAPONS WILL BE BURIED"

There is no operational or maneuvering space left for terrorist ambitions and actions originating from adjacent lands. Weapons will either be buried or those who hold weapons will be buried.

"THERE IS NO TOLERANCE FOR ANY KILLER WALKING AROUND WITH A WEAPON IN THEIR HAND"

There is no tolerance for any killer or terrorist organization walking around with a weapon in their hand, either at home or abroad. In this framework, the statements of the transitional government established in Syria are hopeful and gratifying.

"THERE WILL DEFINITELY BE NO CONCESSIONS TO TERRORISM"

There will definitely be no concessions to terrorism, neither at home nor abroad. The Republic of Turkey is carrying out its fight against terrorism with determination and courage, and it will continue to do so. At this stage we have reached, our Kurdish brothers have read the true face of the bloody game being played, recognized the vicious extras of the betrayal, and seen the murder campaign of imperialism.

For this reason, the separatist terrorist organization's attempt to place a mortgage on the will and future of our Kurdish brothers has failed. Trying to get between the Turk and the Kurd, to lead the way for sedition, and to undermine the thousand-year brotherhood with the imposition of discord and separatism is a vain ambition. The Turkish nation will not bow to this betrayal.

While neighboring geographies are boiling and mixing; furthermore, while countries are experiencing earthquakes, Turkey's very strong embrace of the sentiment of national unity and brotherhood is an admirable characteristic.

Whatever the current patched and wounded opposition, which consists of a diseased limb of a primitive, will-less, and denialist understanding, says, and whatever slanders the hybrid and converted so-called nationalists, who are afraid and hesitant about the separatist terror being pulled out of the country's agenda, console themselves with, Turkey has taken the initiative to get rid of its two-century-old burden. The Turkish nation identity, built and revived largely with Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood, deserves to be the democratic reputation, dignity, and symbol of freedom of the new century. There is no room for meaningless suspicions, purposeful meddling, and baseless delusions.

"THERE IS NO SUCH PROCESS AS A NEW SOLUTION OR OPENING AT ALL"

There is no such process as a new solution or opening at all. What exists and what should exist is for the interlocutors to step in actively, unconditionally, without calculation, without trickery, in a way that inspires confidence and is sincere, for the sake of national survival and the future. There is no time left to be wasted or squandered.

"THE MOMENT OF DESTINY AND DECISION HAS COME FOR TURKEY"

The moment of destiny and decision has come for Turkey. Either we will live together as brothers in unity, or we will be exposed to a violent destruction triggered by external impositions and the breaking of regional fault lines.

The historical responsibility of riveting, consolidating, and strengthening our unity and brotherhood with patience, perseverance, understanding, tolerance, and loyalty to national principles and ideals is on our shoulders. The Turkish homeland belongs to everyone who lives on it, lies beneath it, and has not yet been born.

Within this year, the foundation of peace and tranquility for the next hundred years will be dug in coordination with the common will.

Neither negotiation nor armistice will be open to discussion; the continuous manifesto of the new century, containing the good news and rewards of a terror-free and peaceful Turkey, will be completed very soon with the vigilant rise of Turkey.

While the other sides of our borders are being tossed from crisis to crisis, the time has come for us to be each other's lifeblood within our own borders. The era is the Turkish Era, the Century belongs to Turkey, which will exist in peace.

The number of Turkish astronauts who set foot in space in 2024 should increase in the coming periods. The landslide that occurred in a mining facility in the İliç district of Erzincan, which caused the loss of our workers, has set the hearts of the entire Turkish nation on fire.

Questioning the identity of our pains, our losses, and our tears is irrational. Our National Combat Aircraft Kaan, which made its first flight in 2024, is the common pride of all of us, of our entire nation.

There has never been such a thing as our west rejoicing while our east is sad. No trap or plot has been able to destroy, and will not be able to destroy, the Turkish and Kurdish brotherhood.

Our little Narin, who was murdered in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, and our little Sıla, who was taken from life in the Malkara district of Tekirdağ, devastated us all in 2024. Our names and our memories are one and the same as our pains.

"WE SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEM AREAS THAT WILL BE USED AS A WEAPON AGAINST US"

We should not have any problem areas that are left to be unresolved and fall into the hands of hostile circles as a trump card, and subsequently be used as a weapon against us.

"TURKEY WILL NEVER FALL INTO THE VORTEX OF INTERNAL CONFLICT"

Our virtue of national unity and solidarity is as eye-catching as Mount Cudi, as lined up as the Taurus Mountains, as vast as the Euphrates, as exuberant as the Tigris, as lively as the Zeybek, and as exciting as the Bar, Horon, and Karşılama dances.

Turkey will never fall into the vortex of internal conflict. The chaos epidemic of the Middle East will not be able to infect our Turkey. On the contrary, and eventually, a belt of friendship and peace will surround us.

2025 will fully open the page of peace and tranquility of the Turkish and Turkey Century, and will close the abysses with a leap of relief, sacrifice, and prosperity that unlocks the locks of disagreement and dispute.

Those incompetent ambitious people who were disturbed by the prayer of gratitude performed in the Umayyad Mosque, who showed how far they are from religion and faith by saying in a strange way that there is no making up for a prayer of gratitude, and who also fell into a depression because of the Surah Al-Fath that was recited, will surely pay the high price of their simple and vulgar attitudes.

2025 will be the year of Turkey and the Turkish nation. 2025 will be the stage for a blessed birth where our thousand-year brotherhood is steeled, those who dream of division are disappointed, and the separatist terror is rooted out.

With my prayer that the blessed three months we will welcome on January 1, 2025, and the Regaip Kandili we will observe a day later, will be a means for many spiritual beauties; I celebrate the new year of the great Turkish nation, all Turkish citizens, the Turkish-Islamic world, and humanity thirsty for peace and tranquility. I embrace every child of my nation with longing, respect, and affection, regardless of their region, origin, or mother tongue, and I share my best wishes. I wish ease from the Lord for our brothers who are struggling for existence in Palestine.

I wish for God's mercy upon our heroic martyrs who entered the bosom of the black earth on the path of the homeland and the nation, and upon our oppressed religious brothers who are subjected to genocide, especially in Gaza and Lebanon. I believe with all my heart that in the new year, the Turkish nation will write a new epic with the honorable gains of the new Turkey, the new century, and the new life.
