Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli has targeted the opposition media for covering the assassination of former Grey Wolves (Ülkü Ocakları) Chairman Sinan Ateş in their broadcasts.
Visiting the Memorial for Nationalist Martyrs in Kızılcahamam on the occasion of "May 27 Nationalist Martyrs Commemoration Day," Bahçeli said in his speech there, "We want everyone who makes unfair accusations, especially Halk TV, Sözcü, and Now, to be heard in court. I declare that we will make our application in this regard. We will overcome all of them. We are watching the enemies of the MHP with astonishment. We are disrupting the dirty games of yesterday's enemies of the nationalists," he said.
The MHP leader stated, "It is our duty to confront and shatter those who come at us with a scenario aimed at weakening the People's Alliance, those who probe our soft underbelly, and those who act as subcontractors for foreign-linked agents."
