Saadet Party Deputy Chairman and Kocaeli MP Hasan Bitmez has passed away in the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

The Saadet Party, represented by 10 deputies in the TBMM, and the Future Party (Gelecek Partisi), also with 10 deputies, had formed the Saadet-Gelecek Group in accordance with Article 18 of the TBMM Rules of Procedure. Following Bitmez's passing, the Saadet Party's number of deputies dropped to 9, causing the Saadet-Gelecek Group to fall. Furthermore, the Saadet-Gelecek Group's commission and board memberships have also been revoked.

ONE DEPUTY WILL BE SUFFICIENT

Following Bitmez's passing, the group can be re-established if a new deputy joins. It is anticipated that traffic with independent deputies and those who have resigned will begin after Bitmez is laid to rest.
