A banner reading "Hang in there, brother Sırrı. Turkey needs you" has been hung in the park across from the hospital where Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and DEM Party MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder is receiving treatment. Önder had been taken to a private hospital following a heart attack.
It was announced that Önder was taken to intensive care following a 12-hour surgery due to a tear in his aorta.
While it was stated that Önder would be kept sedated for 5 days, doctors noted that his condition was better than it was yesterday.
As his supporters continue to stand by him, a banner reading "Hang in there, brother Sırrı. Turkey needs you" was hung across from the hospital where he is being treated.
