BBP leader Mustafa Destici holds press conference with Tawhid flag
Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici, reacting to the physical assault on Ismail Aydemir, who was carrying a Tawhid flag during a pro-Palestine march organized by foundations and associations close to the government in Istanbul, displayed both the Turkish flag and the Tawhid flag at a press conference held at his party's headquarters.

Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici made a statement regarding the assault on an individual carrying a 'Tawhid' flag following the 'Mercy to Our Martyrs, Support for Palestine, Curse on Israel' march held in Istanbul by foundations and associations close to the AKP.
DISPLAYED THE TAWHID FLAG
Holding a press conference at his party's headquarters, Destici displayed the 'Tawhid' flag and stated, "We will neither abandon our red flag with the crescent and star, nor will we give up our Tawhid flag."
MINIMUM WAGE STATEMENT
Addressing the 49 percent increase in the minimum wage, Destici stated that while this rate is not sufficient, it is above the 6-month increase of annual inflation when budget conditions are evaluated.
Stating that a Minimum Household Livelihood Determination Commission should be established, similar to the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, Destici said:
"In a household of at least 4 people, if the minimum wage is 17 thousand liras, is only one person working? The state should provide the 3 thousand lira difference. Is a single retiree working, and are they receiving 10 thousand liras? The state should provide the 10 thousand lira difference. This is the way out. This is also the way to ensure our nation is not crushed by inflation or the cost of living, and at least to bring them to minimum living standards."
DEFENDED THE DİYANET AND ALİ ERBAŞ
Speaking about the Presidency of Religious Affairs' (Diyanet) Friday sermon before the New Year, Destici argued that the Diyanet was doing its job.
Stating that he views the criticisms directed at Diyanet Affairs President Ali Erbaş as a great immorality and insolence, Destici said, "I also believe that concepts are being confused. The Santa Claus figure has been tried to be used as material for the Islamist-secular conflict in Turkey for years. The Santa Claus figure has no religious quality. Its adventure, which began as a commercial commodity, continues as a pop culture object."
