The AKP and MHP, which collaborated in the last local elections, have started working together for the elections on March 31, 2024.
AKP and MHP officials have held meetings regarding local election efforts over the past 2 weeks.
WHAT KIND OF COOPERATION WILL THERE BE IN 2024?
While MHP officials state that the negotiations are continuing "with great harmony and grace," AKP officials also express that they are engaged in a "very positive effort." However, it is not yet known what formula the two parties, which collaborated in 51 provinces including 30 metropolitan municipalities in the 2019 elections, will follow in this election.
According to a report by Gazete Duvar, while it is being said behind the scenes that the two parties will largely maintain the cooperation established in the 2019 local elections, there is talk that there may be changes in some cities.
