Bold statement from Meral Akşener for local elections: We will achieve an unpredictable result

Election efforts continue in the İYİ Party, which decided to enter the local elections 'free and independent' after rejecting the CHP's cooperation proposal.

Speaking at a press conference held at a hotel, İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener announced Alparslan Türkeş's daughter, Ayyüce Türkeş Taş, as the candidate for Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor.

Explaining that they are listening to the demands of the nation, Akşener used the expression, "We are not at war with those who govern this country, nor with those who strive to fulfill their duties as the opposition. We have accepted ourselves as the advocates of the nation; we are listening to our nation. We are producing solutions to the problems we hear."

İYİ Party Chair Akşener, reminding that they decided to participate in the local elections with their own logo and candidates, said, "According to others, this is a risk; according to me, it is not. To me, it is trusting our nation, it is surrendering to them."

Emphasizing that she believes they will be successful in the local elections, Akşener continued as follows:

"I and all of you have dedicated ourselves to the path of our country, our Turkey. Whatever the decision made, it is on my head, my eyes, and my life. I claim and believe that we will achieve an unpredictable result, including in metropolitan cities, districts, and provinces. Because there is no other way to prove our sincerity. It gets lost in the noise; with the shouting of both sides and the fight between the two sides over spiritual values, our voice and our concrete proposals are not heard. The steps we will take and our projects for our nation to reach comfort and prosperity are not heard."
