Breaking News... Bayrampaşa Mayor suspended from duty!

Bayrampaşa Mayor Hasan Mutlu has been suspended from duty by the Ministry of Interior following his arrest as part of an investigation into charges of 'bribery, bid-rigging in public institution tenders, and embezzlement.'

The decision announced by the Ministry stated the following:

"Bayrampaşa Mayor Hasan MUTLU has been suspended from duty as a temporary measure by the Ministry of Interior, in accordance with Article 127 of the Constitution and Article 47 of the Municipal Law No. 5393, following his arrest by the Istanbul 6th Criminal Court of Peace on 16.09.2025, under inquiry number 2025/1310, as part of an investigation into charges of 'Bribery, Bid-Rigging in Public Institution Tenders, and Embezzlement'."
