Subsequently, controversies began among the names included in the trustee committee appointed to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency.
HASAN BABACAN REFUSED THE TRUSTEESHIP
Hasan Babacan, one of the prominent names on the trustee committee appointed to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency, had announced his withdrawal from the post. Babacan declared that he refused to be part of the trustee committee and waived his duties in this process.
GÖKMEN GÜNEŞ ON THE RESERVE LIST ALSO DID NOT ACCEPT THE TRUSTEESHIP
Following Babacan's decision, it was learned that Gökmen Güneş, who was claimed to be in the reserve position on the trustee list, also refused the trustee membership.
STATEMENT RECEIVED
Regarding the trustee committee appointed to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency, Gökmen Güneş, who was alleged to be taking over the duty in place of Hasan Babacan, made a statement. In a post on social media, Güneş stated that he is not part of the committee and has not received an invitation from any authorized body.
In his statement, Güneş used the expressions, “I have not received a call committee invitation from Mr. Gürsel Tekin and/or any authorized body, and it is out of the question for me to be on the call committee. Respectfully announced to the public.”
