Breaking News... Critical meeting between Özel and Yavaş

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş visited CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at his office in the Parliament.

"WE EXCHANGED INFORMATION REGARDING THE INVESTIGATIONS"

The two made a statement following the meeting. In his statement regarding the meeting, Yavaş said;

"I came to both welcome him and thank him. We also exchanged information regarding the ongoing investigations. Inspectors who had not asked us questions before asked us a few questions this time. We provided our answers. Just like the same experts being assigned to the file, we had only explained 10 percent of it in our press conference.

"WE WILL SUBMIT OUR MAJOR FILE SOON"

We will also submit our major file soon. We have submitted very large files, but their statements have not even been taken. Although investigations have been opened against a few officials regarding the complaint petitions we submitted, there has not even been an arrest. We are following up on the results of the petitions we submitted," he stated.

Özel also said the following in his statement regarding the meeting:

"Just as they have been exhausted day by day, and just as they could not digest Mr. Mansur, the Gökçek family organized an operation against our mayor. They tried to blow it out of proportion as if there was something there. We evaluated these situations. We had a coffee and discussed our situation."
