Breaking News... Ekrem İmamoğlu to testify in 'espionage investigation'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been summoned to testify at the Çağlayan Courthouse tomorrow as part of an "espionage" investigation. He is expected to be interrogated following his testimony.

Another investigation was launched yesterday targeting Ekrem İmamoğlu. It was alleged that İmamoğlu's advisor, Necati Özkan, was in contact with an individual suspected of having ties to Israel.
Tele1 Editor-in-Chief Merdan Yanardağ was also detained as part of the investigation launched over this espionage allegation. A trustee was appointed to Tele1 without any court order or final conviction.
HE WILL TESTIFY TOMORROW
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu will testify tomorrow at 11:00 AM at the Çağlayan Courthouse as part of the "espionage" investigation.
It was stated that after İmamoğlu gives his statement to the prosecutor's office, he may be interrogated by the duty magistrate judge if requested.
