BREAKING NEWS... Erdoğan officially announces: When is the meeting with the DEM Party delegation?

The parties' group meetings are continuing. Following the IYI Party and the New Path group, the AKP group meeting was also held.

Here are the highlights from the statements of President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan:

''The developments taking place in our region and in the world show that we are on the verge of a very important change, and in fact, given our geography, we are at its center. The global system, which was built after the Second World War and became deeply rooted with the end of the Cold War, is frankly cracking at its foundation. We see that a more protectionist structure is rising in place of the neoliberal economic and political order.

Not only in Asia, Europe, or America, but almost everywhere, states are producing policies aimed at strengthening society and the economy. Preparations are being made for a new era of struggle across a very wide spectrum, from trade to security, from defense to population ratios.

INTERNATIONAL ACTORS HAVE ENTERED NEW SEARCHES

Almost all actors in international politics have entered into new searches. It is understood that trade wars ignited through customs tariffs will have a global impact. It would not be an exaggeration to say that a violent hurricane is coming that will affect everyone, big or small. Our world is rapidly moving from a unipolar structure to a multipolar architecture, especially in terms of economy and military capacity.

We must evaluate the news that has come one after another in recent months as the birth pains of this new era. I would like to state with great pride once again: Turkey is one of the countries that best reads and manages this process, which is as painful as it is historical, and is in the strongest position both in the field and at the table. Our country, which was pushed out of the mat in global competition for various reasons in the past, is, with God's permission, becoming one of the founding actors of the new era. We have already begun to see the signs of this.

As a country whose word carries weight and whose attitude, stance, and discourse are followed with attention, Turkey's name is mentioned more frequently on every platform. The fact that an equation cannot be established without Turkey, and that even if it were, it would have no chance of survival, is accepted by global actors, sometimes voluntarily but most often out of necessity.

Those whose cognitive pathways are not blocked see this truth very clearly: Turkey is leaving its mark on the new era with its strong infrastructure, which it has been building brick by brick for 23 years. Our Century of Turkey vision is taking shape day by day, shining in all its glory like the North Star as our national ideal.

This is the reality that the opposition in our country does not understand, or rather, does not want to understand. They still think they are living in the old Turkey. They still think Turkey is the country it was during their own eras. They still act under the assumption that Turkey operates with permission. However, during the AKP governments, Turkey has become not a country that receives permission, but on the contrary, a country whose permission is sought.

Turkey has not been a walk-on figure granted a role in the games of great powers, but an actor that implements the plays for which it wrote its own script. Do not forget, the new Turkey is a strong Turkey. It is a reputable, successful, and capable country.

THE WORLD HAS GOTTEN USED TO THE NEW TURKEY

I must also express this here. The world has gotten used to the new Turkey. Even if they do not like it at all, Western powers have had to embrace the new Turkey. But the main opposition party in our country has still not grasped the issue. They have still not comprehended that Turkey has leveled up and is now playing in a very different league.

Especially regarding relations with the West, they still have not understood what kind of paradigm shift has occurred in the last 23 years. Because they cannot even breathe, let alone do business or produce policy, without the consent of the West, they cannot read developments correctly. Nothing else can be expected from those who boasted about importing economists from America before the May 14-28 elections. What can we say? It's a pity. It is truly a great pity. Believe me, we are saddened on behalf of our country as we look at the pitiful state of the CHP. They have never known their own country and their own nation. I fear that at this rate, they never will.

The global economy is going through a difficult test. In the last week, international trade wars have evolved into a new dimension. Tariff fights have begun to heat up further with mutually escalating rhetoric. The aftershocks of the earthquake in capital markets have not yet settled. All these developments are expected to affect the global economy in three areas. The first is the increase in inflationary pressures along with the contraction in trade volume and disruptions in global supply chains. The second is that the deepening environment of uncertainty leads to a serious loss of confidence in the markets. The third is the fluctuation in commodity prices. As a result of all these, it is highly probable that the global growth rate will slow down, and even that some major economies will enter a recession. So, where do we stand as Turkey in this global picture?

Despite all the plots, traps, and provocations of the opposition, we are growing Turkey and bringing it closer to its goals.

THE CHP OPENS THE CURTAIN, THE CHP CLOSES IT

Since March 19, a very different game has been played on the political stage. All of Turkey has been watching a theater for the last 20 days, we are watching. Or rather, we are watching a company of wonders with shares. The author of the play is the CHP members. The plotters of the play are the CHP members. The extras of the play are the CHP members. The stage is the CHP's stage. The CHP opens the curtain, the CHP closes it.

There was only one thing unknown. And that was who held the 'kavuk' (turban) of this middle play. Now, with the surprise congress they held over the weekend, the turban has passed to Mr. Özel's head. However, what we have not been able to understand from this farce that has been played for 20 days is that the stage lights were directed at us, not the stage. I draw your attention to this. They are the ones who write the play, they are the ones who stage the play, they are the ones who steal and plunder, they are the ones who established an Escobar order in Istanbul, and they are the ones who are fighting over the spoils. They are the ones who make the complaints, they are the ones who provide the testimony. They are the ones who line up at the doors of the prosecutors to report. But they are also the ones trying to come out on top like olive oil. They are the same ones, the CHP members, who are doing all sorts of somersaults to splash all the dirt, rust, stains, and mud on them onto us. What is going on? Did you, as the CHP, think we were a rabbit frozen when a headlight was shone on us?

'WHATEVER HAPPENED TO YOU, HAPPENED BECAUSE OF YOUR LOVE FOR THE TURBAN'

I'm sorry. You cannot make us or the nation pay the price or the bill for your internal disputes. Your turban debate does not interest us at all. Your internal settling of scores does not concern us in the slightest. Now they have come out, saying this one was detained, that one was arrested, release that one. Whatever happened to you, happened because of your love for the turban. It happened because of your ambition for seats, your unbridled arrogance. It happened because of your greed. You did it to yourselves, you found it yourselves. You are the ones who dragged the CHP into this swamp, this mafia order.

You are also the ones who set the streets on fire to cover up your own internal issues. You are the ones who push the youth to the front and hide in municipal buildings. You are the ones who provoke the youth and make them clash with the police. If the lives of those young people have been darkened, then you, as the CHP, are the ones who darkened those lives.

I ask from here: Are you not the ones who put Deniz Gezmiş, whom you constantly trample on today, into the field? Are you not the ones who approved his execution by running away from the vote in Parliament? Are you not the ones who watched his execution and supposedly shed tears at his grave? After all this, while you should be ashamed, are you not the ones who use Deniz Gezmiş whenever it suits your interests? Look not only at Deniz Gezmiş, but look at Sabahattin Ali, look at Nazım Hikmet. You will see the same hypocrisy, the same grave-robbing there too. Now, on one hand, you are calling the youth to the streets, provoking them, making them curse, and making them attack the police. Then you shamelessly shed crocodile tears. I'm sorry, but we will not let you feed on this country's youth, we will not let you use them!

We will not allow you to use the youth as a screen for your corruption. Even if you do not want to accept it, these middle plays have become stale. The nation is not watching this theater. The nation is not giving any credit to these scenarios of the CHP. You play it yourselves, you perform it yourselves. I would also like to remind you of this here: The snow has long since fallen on the mountains you trusted. It has been a long time since the Western actors you hoped for, whom you bowed and bent before, abandoned you. The numbers you called with one last hope are either closed, have blocked you, or are out of coverage. No one cares about you, no one values you, no one believes your lies.

'THEY ARE IN DESPAIR'

They are in great despair. They lost all their credibility in three weeks. They were disgraced in the eyes of the nation. They could not get any support from their Western masters either. As for the boycott calls, as I said a moment ago, it did not hit the economy, it turned like a boomerang and hit the CHP leadership. In other words, they were defeated on all fronts, literally. Now they are trying to make us forget the defeat they experienced by attacking us and insulting our party and our alliance partner in an indecent manner.

Actually, it is not worth responding at all, but let the youth know these things. Let the youth learn the history of the CHP. What does Mr. Özgür say? He says the CHP is the party that introduced the country to democratic elections when it could have continued as a single party if it wanted to. You did us a favor. Then, overstepping his bounds even more, he accuses us of being coup-plotters.

Now look, my dear brothers, dear youth, I draw your attention here especially for you. The second Chairman of the CHP is, as you know, İsmet İnönü. He loved his seat very much. He left his seat in the CHP in 1972, at the age of 88, and even then, not willingly, but when he lost against Bülent Ecevit. In 1930, during the first multi-party political attempt, his seat was shaken so much that he could only tolerate the Free Republican Party for three months, then he had the party closed down. In 1946, he had to transition to multi-party life, not by his own will, not voluntarily, but let me underline this, due to intense international pressure. He was forced to do this. He had no other choice, no other way. Now they are throwing that necessity into the nation's face with arrogance as if it were a favor.

In 1950, in the first transparent election in Turkey, the CHP was removed from power and has not been able to come to power alone since that day. So what did the CHP do when it could not come to power, when it could not emerge from the ballot box? It paved the way for the May 27 junta. The CHP messed up the country's settings so much that there were junta attempts in 1961, 62, 63, 69, and 1971. They applauded the March 12 memorandum, paved the way for the December 27, 1979 memorandum and the September 12 junta, openly applauded the February 28 coup, and stood behind the April 27 memorandum that we tore up and threw in the trash. They went out to the streets and held demonstrations saying "Army to duty!" They became actors in the December 17-25 coup attempt and the Gezi uprising. On July 15, they ran away from in front of the tanks and sipped their coffee with pleasure in front of the television.

'THEY PATTED THE COUP-PLOTTER ON THE BACK'

They paved the way for every coup, every coup attempt, every memorandum, every junta in Turkey, wrote the invitation, stood behind it, applauded it, and patted the coup-plotters on the back.

I advise the CHP Chairman to read his own history well. I suggest that the CHP Chairman, if he has any courage, face his dirty past, which has turned into tar with the stains of tutelage. Mr. Özel, you have not been at the ballot box since 1950. The nation does not give you authority, and you have been hoping for juntas since 1950. The equation is very simple: CHP means junta. Junta means CHP.

'THEY WROTE THE BOOK ON COUP-PLOTTING IN THIS COUNTRY'

The CHP has written the book not only on corruption but also on coup-plotting in this country. Look, I am stating it clearly and plainly: If it were not for the independent judiciary they insult and threaten, even now the CHP would be a prisoner of the junta administration that emerged from within itself. You should lie down and get up and pray to the judiciary for saving you from the junta that emerged from within you. This is exactly what the CHP is. The CHP has no business with the country's problems. The CHP has no vision, no plan, no program, no horizon. The CHP is a party that has ontological problems with the nation and the will of the nation. The CHP's understanding of freedom is only for themselves, for a handful of elites. The CHP is the embodiment of fascism, flesh and bone.

We all saw what happened last week. We followed it with awe. They pressured artists, media organizations, and local companies because they remained silent, because they did not make a statement, because they did not provide support to the extent we wanted. They lynched the screen faces they had walked with for years, just because they did not shout as much as they wanted. What is this called? This is called fascism itself, in its most primitive, most barbaric form.

Fascism is tyranny that forces the silent to speak rather than silencing the speaker. You can imagine what those who do this when they have no hope of power would do if they were to get authority by chance. Look, I am saying it openly, they can only burn as much space as their size.

Neither street movements, nor provocations, nor threats, nor the lynch lists they call boycotts, with God's permission, they cannot and will not get anywhere with these. The old Turkey is no longer here. The Turkey whose streets you took over with anarchy is long gone. The Turkey where you occupied universities and took students and professors hostage is now a bad memory in the past. The days when you locked up trade and production are far behind. The Turkey where you pointed fingers and set settings for artists, journalists, writers, and the media with the tutelage institutions you took behind you is in history. The conjuncture where you would be deemed worthy of a dry thank you even if you unhitched the horses from the carriages of foreign diplomats and pulled those carriages yourselves has been thrown into the trash heap of history, never to return. Mr. Özel, now there is only the nation, there is the sacred will of the nation.

ERDOĞAN WILL MEET WITH THE DEM PARTY TOMORROW

Tomorrow, by accepting the DEM delegation, we will both meet with them and reaffirm our will to reach the goal of a Turkey without terrorism.
