While all eyes in the political agenda are turned to the meeting between AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, a new development has occurred.
Ahead of the critical summit, Erdoğan will meet with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.
The meeting will take place at 15:00 at Bahçeli's residence.
Erdoğan last met with Bahçeli in January.
HE HAD REACTED TO MEHMET ŞİMŞEK
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had reacted harshly to the statement attributed to Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, in which he said, "There is very strong interest in Turkish assets. We need to convince the local population that inflation will fall," stating, "No one can deny that the corrupt mentality that serves to devalue the Turkish nation with the expression 'local population' is the primary culprit of the scandals we have been exposed to in recent days."
Comments were also made suggesting that one of the targets of Bahçeli's message featuring Ferdi Tayfur's song "Söyleten Sensin" was the AKP.
