Breaking News... Erdoğan's comments on the solution process: 'We are consulting on new moves'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the TBMM Group Meeting.

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

My dear fellow travelers, distinguished members of the press, and very valuable guests. I greet you all with my most heartfelt feelings, respect, and affection. Through you, I send my greetings and love to all our citizens who are currently following us on their screens, on radio channels, and on social media platforms. I especially convey my most heartfelt affection to all our brothers and sisters abroad who are living their lives with their heads held high and their faces bright, struggling for life and dignity in more than one hundred and fifty countries around the world, turning their exile into a homeland and their bitter lands into a second home, and who are a source of pride for Turkey and the Turkish nation with their achievements. After a two-week break, I am happy to be chatting with you, my fellow travelers and companions, under this lofty roof.

"WE CELEBRATED MAY 19TH WITH THE YOUTH"

I pray to my Lord that our group meeting, which we held with great enthusiasm, will bring goodness to our country, our nation, and our democracy. I say welcome to our valuable guests who honored us with their participation and to my young friends who shared our excitement. May my Lord keep our affection and solidarity eternal. My dear brothers and sisters, as you know, yesterday was the 107th anniversary of the lighting of our torch of independence in Samsun. We celebrated the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day at the Presidential National Library with over 200 young people, including our champion athletes. Before that, on Saturday, we came together in Kocaeli with our young people who packed the inside and outside of the Kocaeli Sports Stadium. We shared the excitement of our university student brothers and sisters who came from our 207 universities and 81 provinces, as well as those who are guests in our country.

"WE OPENED THE DOORS OF OUR HEARTS TO THE YOUTH"

We held a festival that made the opposition, especially the CHP, jealous and refuted the opposition's claims about the youth one by one. The festival in Kocaeli was the 14th of our meetings held solely with the participation of young people. Apart from this, we have come together and chatted with our youth hundreds of times in our congresses, conversation meetings, and various events. In these programs, we opened the doors of our hearts to all our citizens, along with the youth. With the understanding of Yunus, 'We do not hold grudges against anyone. The whole world is one to us,' we embraced all the youth of this country with the same sincerity.

"TURNING ONE'S BACK ON THE YOUTH MEANS TURNING ONE'S BACK ON THE FUTURE"

As a brother of yours who has always walked with the youth throughout his political life spanning nearly half a century, I would like to state this very clearly. A movement that underestimates the youth and turns its back on them has no chance of success. A struggle that is not supported by the youth cannot reach victory and cannot be permanent. As our late master Nurettin Topçu said, youth is the seed of the future. Therefore, turning one's back on the youth means turning one's back on the future.

Now look, my dear brothers and sisters. Since our establishment, we have been the address most favored by the youth. We did not do politics only for the youth. We did politics together with the youth. We never allowed condescending, arrogant, judgmental, or threatening rhetoric toward the youth to come near our door. We first tried to understand the youth. We tried to empathize with them. Instead of lecturing, we chose to listen to the youth.

"WE HAVE NOT BEEN A CADRE THAT DISCRIMINATES AMONG THE YOUTH"

We developed solutions to the demands, expectations, and problems of our youth together with them. We produced solutions with common sense. We showed as much care to our young people who sweat in the industry as we did to our young people who sweat in the university. We were as concerned with the problems of our young people who were not allowed into universities because of their headscarves as we were with the troubles of our young people who had to face the difficulties of life while they were still in the spring of their lives. Just like the children we joined at the hafiz graduation ceremony at Çamlıca Mosque, we approached our children receiving addiction treatment at AMATEMs with compassion. We were as proud of our young athletes who made the whole world listen to our National Anthem as we were of our young engineers who invented things. In other words, we have not been a cadre that discriminates among the youth. We are not today, either. And as long as we serve this country, we will never be.

My dear brothers and sisters, it is useful to remind my entire organization of a fact here. Today, as in the past, our youth expect to be listened to before being judged and to be understood before being labeled. Our youth want their elders not only to lecture them but also to value them. This is exactly what we are trying to do. Without prejudice, with an open heart and an open mind, we are trying to understand our youth and delve into the depths of their spiritual worlds. It is quite natural that those who categorize our youth by letters and birth years have difficulty grasping what we are trying to do. It is not surprising that those who see the youth as consumables and as a tool of exploitation to cover up their corruption are jealous of the sincere and honest relationship that the AK Party has established with the youth.

"CHP HAS BECOME A PARTY THAT EMBARRASSES ITS VOTERS"

We see with regret that the CHP, which boasts of founding the Republic, has turned into a party that embarrasses its voters in the hands of 3-5 incompetent, ambitious people. They have no face to go out on the streets. They have no way to look into the faces of the citizens, especially our youth. All their anger stems from the fact that this truth is also known by our youth. Our youth see very clearly how those who constantly talk about merit have turned the municipalities they manage into a trough. Our youth see very clearly what kind of swamp of immorality those who constantly talk about moral superiority have fallen into. The youth of this country certainly see and follow the pathetic state of those who do not even accept a greeting without a bribe. They are distancing themselves from these greedy people. This is the main reason for the discomfort of the CHP, including its Chairman. Let the gentlemen be uncomfortable.

We will continue to trust the youth and pave the way for them. We will spend all our efforts to ensure that our youth are raised in the best, most equipped, and most conscious way in the light of our national and spiritual values. We will continue to work with a spirit of mobilization so that the TEKNOFEST youth, who will be the guarantee of Turkey's bright future, can excel in every field. In this process, of course, we will take into account constructive criticisms, fix any shortcomings, and will not hesitate to fulfill the requirements of well-intentioned proposals, determinations, and criticisms aimed at strengthening our bond of affection with our youth.

"WE WILL CELEBRATE THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR AK PARTY ON AUGUST 14TH"

My dear nation, my dear fellow deputies. As of last Wednesday, 3 years have passed since the May 14 elections, in which our Parliament was also formed. Next Thursday, 3 years will have passed since the second round of the Presidential elections. Both our Parliament and our government have spent these 3 years that we are leaving behind in a full manner, as in previous periods. Again, in about 3 months, on August 14, we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of our AK Party. Hopefully, we will have left a quarter of a century behind. Similarly, in about 5 months, we will complete 24 years of our uninterrupted rule. As the great AK Party family, we are experiencing the justified pride of breaking insurmountable records both in terms of duration and in terms of the works we have brought to Turkey.
