Breaking News... First reaction from CHP to the investigation permit for Mansur Yavaş!

The Ministry of Interior has approved the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's request to launch an investigation into Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş. Following this development, a harsh reaction came from the CHP.

MINISTRY OF INTERIOR ACCEPTS INVESTIGATION PERMIT

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had requested an investigation permit for Mansur Yavaş and his Chief of Staff Nevzat Uzunoğlu regarding concert expenditures by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. The Ministry of Interior approved this request today, and an investigation will be opened into Mansur Yavaş.

HARSH REACTION FROM CHP

CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut reacted to the Ministry of Interior's decision. Drawing attention to the fact that no action has been taken against former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek, who has been on the agenda with numerous corruption allegations, Bulut made the following statement:

"THOSE WHO HANDED OVER THE CITY TO FETÖ PARCEL BY PARCEL ARE IGNORED"

Recalling the corruption during the tenure of AKP's Melih Gökçek, Bulut stated, "While the Ministry of Interior grants an investigation permit for Mansur Yavaş, no steps are taken against those who handed over Ankara to FETÖ parcel by parcel for years, and those who spent hundreds of millions of dollars on wasteful projects. They have ignored this situation for years."

Bulut also recalled the words of AKP's Bülent Arınç regarding Melih Gökçek, who said, "He sold Ankara parcel by parcel," and expressed the following:

“While those who handed over Ankara to FETÖ, those who spent hundreds of millions of dollars on dinosaurs and wasteful projects have remained untouched for years; Mansur Yavaş, who serves with an understanding of honesty, transparency, and populist municipalism, is being targeted. Try another door! This fabric does not stain!"
