Breaking News... Meeting between President Erdoğan and DEM Party delegation concludes

The DEM Party delegation traveled to İmralı Island on July 6, 2025, to meet with the imprisoned leader of the PKK, Abdullah Öcalan. Immediately following this critical contact, the delegation met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.

The meeting took place on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 15:00. According to information obtained, the "disarmament process," which has returned to the agenda in Turkey, was discussed during the meeting.

SUMMIT AT DEM PARTY HEADQUARTERS BEFORE THE MEETING

Prior to the meeting with the President, Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, who were part of the İmralı delegation, met with Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan at the DEM Party Headquarters.

It was learned that both the details of the meeting held with PKK leader Öcalan and the agenda items for the meeting with the President were evaluated during this session.

DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları had delivered important messages during a joint press conference held the day before with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. Hatimoğulları had stated that Buldan and Sancar would meet with President Erdoğan not only regarding the resolution process but also concerning operations targeting the main opposition.
