CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made statements to members of the press at the CHP Headquarters following the dismissal of the lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the 38th Ordinary Congress and the 21st Extraordinary Congress. Stating that the lawsuit was not result-oriented but rather process-oriented, Özel gave a clear response to the discussions within the party.

THE LAWSUIT AIMED TO MAKE THE CHP A SUBJECT OF DEBATE

Özgür Özel emphasized that the purpose of the lawsuit was to make the CHP a subject of debate and to create an image of unrest within the party. "It was not possible to achieve a result. The goal was to make the CHP a subject of debate and to give the impression that there is a dispute within the CHP," said Özel, pointing out that the person who filed the lawsuit had already been disconnected from the party. Özel stated that the CHP overcame this situation by maintaining its integrity after the lawsuit was filed.

They found some apparatuses they could use as tools for this. They tried to make us sick, they found germs. The strong constitution of the CHP neither got sick, nor lost strength, nor accepted these germs.

This matter has been completely eliminated today. We knew it would be like this; they wanted to make the CHP a subject of debate.

When these lawsuits occurred, the CHP's Istanbul provincial delegates took action. Without giving any credit to the other side, they demanded a congress. The CHP congress delegates also renewed the congress.
