According to the indictment, the incident began when Aslan went to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan to support employees who were detained as part of an operation targeting the IMM. Aslan reacted after being denied entry by security personnel.

According to witness statements, Aslan used the phrases “I will burn this place down, I will resign” during the argument at the courthouse entrance. It was stated that a report was filed by security forces following these remarks.

The prosecutor's office, which conducted the investigation into the incident, prepared an indictment against Aslan for the crime of “resisting to prevent the performance of a duty.” The indictment alleges that Aslan attempted to prevent public officials from performing their duties.

The prosecutor's office has requested that the IMM Deputy Mayor be sentenced to between 6 months and 3 years in prison.
