ECHR REJECTED TURKEY'S APPEAL
The ECHR recently evaluated the appeal filed by Turkey regarding the Selahattin Demirtaş case. The court decided to reject the appeal, stating that the previous ruling of violation remains valid.
The decision reiterated the findings that Demirtaş's prolonged detention is in violation of the "right to liberty and security" under the European Convention on Human Rights.
