The General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey convened with the agenda of electing RTÜK members.

During the session, İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Buğra Kavuncu shared his views on the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process.

Kavuncu questioned the sincerity and transparency of the process while also revealing a past warning regarding an assassination attempt against him.

İYİ Party's Kavuncu stated that during his time as Istanbul Provincial Chairman, the Police Department brought him a document and warned him to be cautious.

He said that police officials informed him that a militant captured in Tekirdağ had confessed to preparing an assassination attempt against him.

While expressing his doubts about the sincerity of the process, Buğra Kavuncu said, "We are concerned that this process, under the claim of ending terrorism, could lead to even greater problems." He also stated that the İYİ Party has been subjected to unfair accusations by certain segments and emphasized that it is natural to question such processes.

Kavuncu's remarks drew the attention of other group deputy chairmen in Parliament and sparked discussions. Kavuncu stated that such warnings and processes must be handled transparently.
