With only days left until the AKP congress and signals of change coming from President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, certain names are being discussed in Ankara's political circles for a cabinet reshuffle.

According to a report by Hilal Köylü from Serbestiyet, one of the names expected to be changed in the cabinet is Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya. In AKP circles, it is being discussed that either Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu, whose term as Secretary General of the National Security Council (MGK) has ended, or Deputy Interior Minister Bülent Turan could replace Yerlikaya.

Following the Grand Kartal disaster in Bolu, which claimed the lives of 78 people, another name expected to be changed in the cabinet is Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

WHY YERLİKAYA?

It is stated that the 'Soylu Lobby' within the People's Alliance is positioned against Minister Yerlikaya. There is also a significant number of people claiming that Erdoğan will make a change in the Ministry of Interior because he finds Ali Yerlikaya's performance insufficient.
