Call from TİP for Can Atalay: 'Not the palace judiciary, but the will of the people'

The Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) has called on citizens to protest the decision regarding imprisoned Hatay MP Şerafettin Can Atalay.

Following the stripping of imprisoned Hatay MP Şerafettin Can Atalay's parliamentary status, the Istanbul Provincial Organization of the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) has called on citizens to protest the decision tonight at 8:00 PM in front of the Historic Beşiktaş Pier. 

The following statement was shared on the TİP İstanbul Provincial Organization's X account:

"Can Atalay is the people's deputy, and he will remain so! 

We are gathering to say 'Not the palace judiciary, but the will of the people' against the unlawful stripping of our Hatay MP's parliamentary status!

CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelikalso issued a call regarding the decision.

His statement is as follows:
