Call to the AKP government from alliance partner BBP leader Destici

Destici attended an iftar program organized by his party's Gerede mayoral candidate, Akif Allar, at a hotel in the city center.

Going to the cooks at the entrance of the hall, Destici served the meat and rice prepared for the iftar meal to the participants.

Stating that the BBP has always stood by the truth and against wrongdoing since the day it was founded, Destici said that they prioritize the existence of the state, the integrity of the country, the unity of the nation, its independence and future, Turkish culture, Islamic faith, and the love for the flag, the call to prayer, the homeland, and the nation.

"WE ARE COOPERATING"

Touching upon the fact that the BBP is a part of the People's Alliance, Destici said, "The People's Alliance was established on the night of the treacherous July 15 coup attempt. We were together in the 2017 referendum. We won the 2018 elections together. We were together in 2019. We won the 2023 elections together again as the People's Alliance. Now we are in the 2024 local elections. There are places where we cooperate, and there are places where we enter separately. We are cooperating in all metropolitan mayoral races. 

In Bolu Municipality and Gerede Municipality, our People's Alliance parties have their own candidates. We also have a candidate here who will win. It will be a brotherly race, a democratic race." he said.

Destici underlined that as the BBP, they have never built their politics on lies to this day, saying, "We have never made promises to our citizens that we could not keep; in fact, some even criticized us for this. That is not our way. We have not deceived our nation to this day, and we will not. This is our difference. This is how we learned politics from our leader Muhsin. This is how we continue on our path." he said.

"WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT ACCORDING TO INFLATION..."

Stating that the lowest pension should be at the level of the minimum wage, Destici said, "We are once again shouting from here that the lowest pension should be increased to 17 thousand liras, which is the minimum wage. 3 thousand liras were announced as a holiday bonus for our retirees.

When we look at it according to inflation, it should have been at least 5 thousand liras.

We say that this should be 5 thousand liras for the month of Ramadan. But for Eid al-Adha, I propose that it be 10 thousand liras so that they can at least buy a small sheep, goat, or lamb and perform the sacrifice. I propose that the Eid al-Adha bonus be 10 thousand liras." he expressed.
