Imprisoned presidential candidate and elected Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Ekrem İmamoğlu addressed citizens in a video message published on his social media account.
In his message, İmamoğlu emphasized that what is happening should not be accepted as normal or normalized. In his post, İmamoğlu, who made the call with the words "My dear nation, I am addressing you," expressed his reaction to the legal process.
''Do not get used to it, do not normalize it! Never, ever accept these unjust decisions, these unjust and unlawful imprisonments. Let the nation be my witness!''
A video message containing the same expressions was also included in İmamoğlu's social media post.
