Democrat Party Deputy Chairman and Ordu MP Cemal Enginyurt issued sharp criticism regarding the release of Dilan and Engin Polat in a post shared on social media.
Enginyurt argued that it was an injustice for the couple to be released when arrests were expected in the ongoing investigations against them.
Enginyurt included the following statements in his post:
"They were facing 40 years in prison. They were called a betting gang, profiteers. Now they are free. The nation's representative Can Atalay is imprisoned. DilRuba received a sentence immediately, while some power released them. As her first act, Dilan mocked the nation. She is jumping around shouting 'ENERCİİ'. She is giving thanks for injustice."
