Cemal Enginyurt's response to those asking 'Have you become a communist?': 'There is no communist who stole 128 billion dollars'

CHP Istanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt made striking statements regarding the current agenda during the "One Topic, One Guest" program organized by the Anadolu Party. Criticizing the government with harsh words, Enginyurt called for unity so that Turkey can emerge from the crisis it is in.

EMPHASIS ON THE ''TURKEY ALLIANCE''

Stating, "There is a government right now that wouldn't care even if Turkey were burning," Enginyurt argued that the current administration remains indifferent to the problems of the people. Emphasizing that there must be unity without discrimination for Turkey to escape this impasse, he used the expressions, "We need to meet in the Turkey Alliance. There is no escaping this. This has nothing to do with being right-wing or left-wing."

''THERE IS NO COMMUNIST WHO STOLE 128 BILLION DOLLARS''

Responding to criticisms regarding his own political past, Enginyurt said the following about joining the CHP: "An MHP-affiliated friend of mine asked me, 'Brother, did you become a communist when you switched to the CHP?' I said, 'I did.' Because there is no communist who stole 128 billion dollars, there is no communist who wiped out the 600 billion lira tax debt of the 'Quintet Gang.' And there is no communist who marries off a six-year-old child." Drawing attention to the CHP's sensitivity regarding Atatürk and the Turkish flag, Enginyurt asked, "Can you show me anyone in the CHP who does not love Atatürk or does not carry the Turkish flag?"

''WHAT DID YOU BARGAIN FOR WITH APO?''

Making striking statements on the fight against terrorism as well, Enginyurt criticized the government's counter-terrorism policy and used the following expressions:

"Now they say, 'Don't you want terrorism to end?' Who wouldn't want terrorism to end? May God damn those who do not want terrorism to end," said Enginyurt, noting that terrorists come from Syria, and added, "Didn't the last terrorist at TUSAŞ come from Syria? Didn't those who raided the Mezitli Police Station come from Syria? Didn't the terrorist who carried out the explosion in Beyoğlu come from Afrin?"

Touching upon the discussions held over PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, Enginyurt questioned the government's policies by saying, "What did you bargain for with Apo? We understood that he would make a statement, but what did you give in return? This Apo is not crazy. If he was going to make a statement without receiving anything, why didn't you have him do it for 23 years?"
