Cemil Tugay meets with Minister Uraloğlu

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay visited Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu in Ankara.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay met with Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdülkadir Uraloğlu in Ankara. During the meeting, İzmir's transportation and infrastructure projects were discussed. In a statement on his social media account, Minister Uraloğlu noted that they evaluated the needs of İzmir.

Uraloğlu included the following statements in his post:

"We hosted İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mr. Cemil Tugay and his team at our Ministry. We exchanged ideas regarding İzmir's transportation and infrastructure needs. In line with our President's 'Century of Turkey Cities' vision, we will continue to work for the development of all our cities."

 

Mayor Tugay also stated in his social media post, "We visited our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and discussed our city's transportation and infrastructure projects. We held a productive meeting with our Minister, Mr. Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, and the relevant General Managers. I thank them," he said.

 

ALSO MET WITH YAVAŞ

As part of his contacts in Ankara, Cemil Tugay also met with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş. These visits focused on inter-city cooperation and projects.

 

STRIKE CRISIS CONTINUES

On the other hand, regarding the strike of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality workers, Tugay, who met with DİSK İzmir Union representatives, had announced that no agreement could be reached. Tugay had said, "This evening, we only saw people dealing with another dimension of the bargaining; I did not see people looking for a solution. I need people who will understand the situation of Turkey, İzmir, and other people living in this country."
