Cemil Tugay takes a jab at AKP's İzmir candidate Dağ: 'He's making movies, he has a record budget'
The AKP has allocated a massive advertising budget to win İzmir, known as a CHP stronghold. The films produced for Hamza Dağ appear in the commercial breaks of almost every TV channel. CHP İzmir Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Cemil Tugay criticized those commercials with harsh words.

CHP İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Cemil Tugay visited the Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Association Cemevi in Bornova and criticized his rival Hamza Dağ with harsh words.
"HAMZA DAĞ IS MAKING VERY GOOD MOVIES"
Stating that there have been some baseless reports about him, Tugay said that he left a clean slate while serving in Karşıyaka. Criticizing his rival, Tugay said, 'I fought with my honor and dignity. TOKİ tried to sell land in Mavişehir.
Before my term, 235 thousand square meters of land had been sold. They couldn't sell any during our term. They tried to sell it, but thanks to the struggle we put up, they didn't succeed. There is a deliberate perception campaign against me. The AKP's İzmir candidate has a record advertising budget.
Wherever I turn, Hamza Dağ appears. He made a video yesterday. It's very professional; they are making very good movies. He is supposedly conducting an orchestra with a baton he doesn't even know how to hold. Yet, they have canceled 8 festivals in the last year. They are enemies of art and music. They are enemies of people,' he said.
"I AM NOT USING A SINGLE PENNY"
Explaining that he has not used any of the municipality's resources for his election campaign, Tugay said the following:
'I have one apartment, one house, and one car. I have an income that meets our needs. I started the election campaign by calculating this. I have become poorer now, but it doesn't matter. The campaign expenses are covered entirely by voluntary support.
I am also spending my own money on the election campaign. We are not using a single penny of the municipality. But the man goes and gets into his official vehicle. 30 escorts accompany the Presidential convoy. The dining and wining… This order must end now.'
