Anadolu Birlik Partisi (ABP) Chairman Bedri Yalçın made statements regarding the contacts being held with CHP leader Özgür Özel and his team, who were removed from their posts following a court ruling of absolute nullity.

Addressing claims that some deputies would join the ABP, Yalçın stated that reports suggesting 3 deputies would switch to the party do not reflect the truth.

"86 DEPUTIES WILL JOIN US"

Confirming that negotiations are underway, Yalçın said, "Yes, meetings are being held; we have our team and they have theirs. We have no problems; we are a party that has established organizations in 81 provinces and participates in elections. In other words, we are a party without any scandal. But right now, there is absolutely no bargaining for parliamentary seats. Can there ever be bargaining for the homeland? There is a matter of the homeland in the country right now. Negotiations are continuing. We already lack nothing. They researched us, and we researched them. 86 deputies from among them will join us. After that, there are nearly 74 provincial chairs. They are already joining our party," he stated.

"THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF GOING BACK TO CHP"

Stating that the negotiations cover the participation of figures who will leave the CHP to join the ABP, Yalçın said there are no obstacles in the process.

Yalçın said, "Of course, there is no problem, there is no obstacle right now, and there is no issue. They don't have a problem either. I mean, they have no chance of going back to the CHP. Even if they went, the CHP wouldn't take them. After they switch, we will necessarily go to a general assembly. After they switch, we will go to the general assembly once we complete things like forming a parliamentary group. What will we do at the general assembly? We will change the number of members. They will also bring us members. What are they? Party assembly members, MKYK, MYK, General Administrative Board; these will be organized. After that, there is no problem, we will continue, that is," he said.

RESPONSE TO "PARTY FOR SALE BY OWNER" CLAIM

Stating that no bargaining took place during the meetings, Yalçın also denied allegations that money was requested.

Yalçın said, "There is no such bargaining or anything; I don't know about money or wealth, we don't have a price. Someone wrote 'Party for sale by owner.' Are you buying a plot of land, are you buying property, what are you buying? We are a party that has been established for 6 years; we don't owe 1 lira to anyone, we have no business with anyone, and we have no scandal with anyone," he spoke.

HE ALSO DENIED THE MANSUR YAVAŞ CLAIM

Yalçın stated that the claims that he said, "I will not accept it if Mansur Yavaş does not become chairman," are also not true.

Yalçın said, "No, I won't accept it if Mansur Yavaş doesn't become president either. There is no such thing. I didn't talk about it. If I had talked, I would say like a man that I talked. I even went and visited Mr. Mansur. He said, 'I already know you didn't say such a thing. But thank you for coming and giving me information.' I talked to him too. That is the situation," he expressed.
