CHP's 21st Extraordinary Congress: Özgür Özel's 'A-Team' is set!

The unofficial results of the Party Assembly (PM) and High Disciplinary Board (YDK) elections at the Republican People's Party (CHP) 21st Extraordinary Congress have been announced. While Zonguldak MP Deniz Yavuzyılmaz received the highest number of votes in the PM elections, Özgür Sağlam ranked first in the YDK elections.

At the congress held at the Nazım Hikmet Culture Center in Yenimahalle, Ankara, the CHP determined its 60-member PM and 15-member YDK. Eight of the PM members were elected from the Science, Culture, and Art Platform (BKSP) list. There were 181 applications for PM candidacy and 51 for the YDK.

TOP THREE NAMES ACCORDING TO UNOFFICIAL RESULTS

Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, who received 876 votes from the delegates, topped the PM elections. Yavuzyılmaz was followed by Istanbul MP Suat Özçağdaş with 856 votes and Şanlıurfa MP Mahmut Tanal with 815 votes.

Following these names, the vote counts were as follows: Gül Çiftci 794, Ensar Aytekin 787, Hikmet Erbilgin 786, Gamze Taşcıer 770, Ali Abbas Ertürk 769, Canan Taşer 764, and Mahir Yüksel 760.

A large majority of the current Central Executive Board (MYK) members also succeeded in entering the PM list.

KILIÇDAROĞLU'S FORMER CHIEF ADVISOR ON ÖZEL'S LIST

One of the notable names on the list was Namık Tan, the chief advisor to the CHP's 7th Chairman, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Tan was nominated as a Party Assembly candidate from Özgür Özel's key list at this congress.

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL'S 'A-TEAM' IS FINALIZED

All 52 names on CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's key list were elected to the PM in full, according to unofficial results. Among those elected, names such as Selin Sayek Böke, Namık Tan, Engin Özkoç, and Aylin Nazlıaka stood out. Özel's list remained intact even after the quota application.

ÖZGÜR SAĞLAM FIRST IN YDK

Özgür Sağlam came in first in the YDK elections with 742 votes. Sağlam was followed by Deniz Çakır (736 votes) and Turan Taşkın Özer (732 votes). Other names elected to the YDK included İsmail Emre Telci, Esin Fatma Temel, Nurdan Yücal, and Süleyman Bülbül.

In addition to Sağlam, Çakır, and Özer, the 15-member YDK list consisted of the following names:

8 NAMES FROM THE SCIENCE, CULTURE, AND ART PLATFORM ENTERED THE PM

Eight candidates from the 12-member BKSP list supported by Özel were elected to the PM. Yalçın Karatepe received the highest number of votes with 881. Karatepe was followed by Yankı Bağcıoğlu, Emine Uçak Erdoğan, and others.

The names, including quotas, were as follows:

"Yalçın Karatepe (881), Yankı Bağcıoğlu (858), Emine Uçak Erdoğan (817), Gülşah Deniz Atalar (809), Gökçe Gökçen (794), Bahattin Bahadır Erdem (781), Baran Bozoğlu (735), Berker Esen (731)"

ÖZEL'S LIST IN THE PM WITHOUT EXCEPTION

According to the results, all 52 names on the key list published by Özgür Özel before the elections received approval from the delegates. No names from other lists succeeded in entering the PM.

The official results, which will be announced by the district election board following the objection period, will be shared with the public.

For the results to be finalized, the evaluation of objections to be made after the application of gender and youth quotas will be awaited. The final results will be announced by the district election board.
