A new controversy has emerged regarding the investigations conducted into CHP-run municipalities and party figures. While allegations persist that statements from individuals providing testimony under effective remorse provisions and details of investigations are being leaked to the press, a striking post was made by the CHP.

In screenshots published via the party's official communications account, it was alleged that information notes regarding investigations and whistleblower testimonies were being shared in a group named "Ministry of Justice Press Briefing".

EFFECTIVE REMORSE TESTIMONIES HAD BECOME A HOT TOPIC

Recently, following the reflection in the press of allegations regarding Gökhan Böcek and Zuhal Böcek in the Antalya investigation, various claims involving many figures, including CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, had come to the agenda.

Similarly, it was alleged that the testimonies given under effective remorse by Özkan Yalım, who was arrested as part of a corruption investigation into the Uşak Municipality and expelled from the CHP due to footage of his detention, were also leaked to the press.

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL'S MINISTRY OF JUSTICE ALLEGATION

In a statement he made recently, Özgür Özel had claimed that notes regarding investigation files were being prepared in a group affiliated with the Ministry of Justice and served to journalists close to the government.

In his statements, Özel had also criticized Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek.

"MINISTRY OF JUSTICE PRESS BRIEFING" GROUP SHARED

In the screenshots published by the CHP Communications account, the messages in the group named "Ministry of Justice Press Briefing" drew attention.

According to the post, it was alleged that a ministry employee named Yakup Halit Bulut shared short information notes targeting the CHP and content regarding effective remorse testimonies in the group.

In the CHP's post, it was claimed that the notes in question were published by social media accounts close to the government "without changing a single comma".

WORD FILE DETAIL DREW ATTENTION

In the post made by the CHP, it was stated that the fact that the texts regarding the investigation files were shared in an editable Word file format instead of PDF drew attention.

Party sources argued that this situation increased suspicions that the testimonies had been altered.

The CHP expressed the view that the contents of the effective remorse testimonies might have been tampered with due to the changes in question.

SHARED NOTE INCLUDED CONVENTION ALLEGATIONS

One of the information notes in the screenshots published by the CHP included some headings stated to belong to Özkan Yalım's additional testimony dated May 13, 2026.

The shared note also included allegations regarding the process of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention.

The note alleged that meetings were held with delegates in approximately 40 provinces as part of "support activities for Özgür Özel", with a focus on delegates from Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş in particular.

Furthermore, it was reported that it was alleged that some delegates requested that their relatives be hired in CHP-run municipalities in exchange for supporting Özgür Özel or providing signatures.
